 The Welcome Club of Henderson County is more than a social organization. In addition to making new friends and enjoying a variety of activities, we also encourage philanthropic efforts in our community by supporting local charities.

Every year at our annual meeting in October, members select a local non-profit to support throughout the coming year with financial contributions and needed supplies. We also look for ways to volunteer for our annual charity, individually or as a group. The vast majority of each member's annual dues is allocated toward the grants awarded by the Welcome Club to our chosen organization.

Qualifications for Nomination:

•  The membership at large may submit suggestions for our annual charity.
•  A charity must be based in Henderson County and serve Henderson County residents.
•  If the charity serves the population outside the county, it may be accepted as a nomination as long as it is based in Henderson County

Nominations must include the following information:

- The contact name at the suggested charity

- Phone number and email address (if available) of the charity contact

- A brief description of the charity

Project Dignity is a nonprofit on a mission to provide period products to those in need in Western North Carolina who might be homeless, low-income, or victims of domestic abuse.
